For most kids, returning to school is both a fun and exciting opportunity to learn, make new friends, and experience new things. For some, returning to school means struggling with homework. This can be problematic for kids and their concerned parents alike. However, there are ways to remedy this. There are multiple ways not only to make homework less of a struggle but actually make homework fun for your child.
Before the fun can begin, it’s important to create a learning friendly atmosphere. Rid your child of distractions such as tv, mobile phones, and video games. Consider offering your child a healthy snack during homework time. Try to be readily available for your child during homework times to lend a helping hand if needed. Now for the fun! Songs and games are a great way to lighten the homework mood. For example, creating a game incorporating your child’s favorite candy for math, may help your child visualize numbers and number placement more easily. Singing a silly song to your young student about an important date in history, may make such a significant event easier to remember. Or, sing a little ditty for subjects that may be monotonous for your student. Speaking of monotony, encourage your child to take breaks. Taking breaks allows your child to take a breather and reboot to stimulate better brain function. There are several more ways in addition to the above ideas exemplified in the following infographic that can and will make homework much more fun for your child. Long gone will be the afternoons of struggling with homework assignments. https://www.laminator.com/how-to-make-homework-fun-for-kids.html How To Make Homework Fun for Kids |
