SK322218 Comment from Richard Trevena: The stile is partially obstructed with an electric/electronic sliding gate mechanism, the running rail for which runs at the bottom of the stile. When the gate is closed, the stile is passable, however if the sliding gate is open it will completely block access to the path. There also does not appear to be any safety lock-out device on the gate mechanism, no infra red / light beams protecting people who may be on the path/crossing the stile, if the gate started to operate (and it appears to do so by remote control/automatic activation) while people are crossing the stile then a serious injury/death may result. |
