Water of Moness
In the area to the left near the log jam was a curved bit of bedrock where a couple of boulders and a couple of barrowloads of gravel was collected. Not over three yards long by two feet deep. Two panners from the West Coast got 62 grams from there in a weekend. You then look at the jam of big boulders and swallow hard and shake your head.Your looking at a major gold river.
The path up to Burns seat starts going up very steeply ten yards away on the left. This is the usual point people explore to as it starts getting rough going and needing waders to explore further upstream.
