Actually, for the few minutes I took some shots, they did not succeed to catch nothing, but I agree - the guys spent a cool time :D

Fishing is fun, even if you don't catch a thing :))

I'm sure you know that frogs around the world are going to "Froggy heaven" thanks to a fungus ? Poor things ha? :( Is it happening in Bulgaria as well?

oohh yes!! It is a very sad story, turns out that at the 1950's American scientists discovered that they could use an African frog as a pregnancy test for women. They produced a reaction to the urine of a pregnant woman. Years later the test evolved and the frogs were no longer needed and instead of killing them they realized thousands of them in lakes, creeks, etc around the world... they carry a very strong fungus but they have lived with it for many years so their bodies created a protection.... the rest of the frogs haven't yet so now this
'little bad fellow" is contaminating all kinds of frogs around the world and killing them :(

I will try to find the whole article so you can read it :)

I found this one.

Very, very sad story! :(
That's why we say the invasive species are among the most severe dangers for the biodiversity.

muuaaccss Volkerito :)

Yes indeed, Geri. You know carps and tilapia (helped by pollution of course) are killing the few wild Axolotls that remain in Mexico. they were introduced in Xochimilco to "help" back in the 80's and they have basically ended the rest of fish, frogs and of course my beloved Axolotl.... the saddest part is that you can find thousands of examples like this around the world with plants and animals :&
ay ay ayyyy...

There are some good news though :) couple of days ago knew about this experiment of taking wild adult lobsters from one part of the ocean to an other to help the kelp grow again :) by eating the excessive population of sea urchins..great ha? :D Hope it works!!!!
