picture 4 : You can see Rose's old yellow and green house, where she lived until she was 6, when her parents moved to Briggsdale
"*Rose Ball*" ...lived in Keota until she was 6, when her parents moved to Briggsdale the summer before she started school.
The Pawnee Buttes were her playground, something she showed off to out-of-town visitors dozens of times.
She lived in a yellow house with a green roof in Keota. The History Colorado Center was so taken with it, for its display on Keota, it made a replica of her house {!!??]. It remains one of few left standing in the area.
She got married in 1945 to Ralph Ball and moved to Greeley. The two had three boys, including Wendell, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Rose now spends her days at Bonell Good Samaritan in Greeley. She doesn't visit northern Weld often. She used to go at least once a year for a quilting party in the yellow house in Keota.
