Oh very pretty! We don't get weather like that here. I'm sorry to be missing the photo ops, but not sorry to be missing the cold.

Ah, but those cold crisp winter's days are lovely! Whilst out, you just need to wrap up warm. Later, you return home and curl up in front of a blazing log fire...

You're making me homesick.
(although it's been *very* cold and crisp here, we are unfortunately sans blazing log fire, which just takes the whole fun out of the coldness and frostyness.)

Mmm, my experience of blazing fires has also included soot all over the walls and the rest of the house. I'll stick with our current 30-40C days and blue skies, thanks all the same ;)

@stealthflower: Ah, you've got that set up all wrong:

@clickykbd: ah, that's interesting. When I was writing my Flickr book, I got all my "whilst"s taken out and was told they were too "British". I use it all the time....

Ah, that makes more sense! I'm currently under a blanket here at work, so I'm now slightly jealous ;)

And what on earth is wrong with 'whilst'? Bet they'd loathe 'unbeknownst' and 'erstwhile'.
