a side note from this flight:

This was on the little 18-seater I fly on between Kansas City and Garden City (no airport in my home town)--I was sitting in a seat at an emergency exit and the co-pilot rattled off the instructions for opening the door so fast that I couldn't understand a single thing she said. She finished her spiel and asked if I was comfortable being in that seat. I said, "Yep" to her. (She was a little scary) When she walked away, I turned to my sister across the aisle and whispered "I sure as hell hope nothing happens, because I currently have NO idea how to open that door." Thankfully, was a non-incident flight!
