hmmm i love tomatoes.. how do these taste like? big difference from those "commercial" red ones?

unfortunately they don't taste much different, some even bland - I suspect these were grown in a greenhouse without really turning ripe. Haven't tried the smallish safari ones up to now. I have had black tomatos last year which were really good (noir de crimee)

Unlike with aubergines, my local shop does stock a variety of weird tomatoes like these, but I have to agree with you that they look more interesting than they taste!
