and i like the choco-bugs climbing on the carrot muffins! can you blame them?
yesterday i got a bento box from a japanese store, a disposable one, but what had inside made think of your lunch boxes: grilled unagi on top of rice, there are many japanese stores in San Diego since there's a relatively big japanese population here... in this store Mitsuwa, they make an annual sale where they have bento boxes from different main train stations in Japan, with ingredients from each area, you'd love it, hope i can make it to this year's event and share in photos, now, after seeing this i have to take my lunch break :)
The bento boxes from train stations in Japan are called ekiben and feature the respective regional foods, I am considering buying a book on ekiben in Japan :-) although I don't read Japanese...
