The difference in size between the man-made structures and the rocks is stunning. What humans built is alike a joke in comparison.

A marvelous palette and -- now I've noticed it for the first time -- a Google map besides the photo!? Is this a new feature of 23hq or have I missed it somehow for a longer time? Anyway, the contrast of the picture is gorgeous and the soft version reminds a painting!!!

Hello istoyanov! - Yes, it seems to be quiet new here. (I am also a new member so it is difficult to count ;) ) but it is still some kind of "beta"-stadium I guess. - You will find more about getagging here in the discussions: http://www.23hq.com/photogroup/places/

Thanks for your nice comment! - I noticed the comparision with a painting right after your comment. Thanks. I wrote a wish to 23 if they perhaps could sharpen the smaller images because as one can see here there are a lot of details missing on the smaller version.

Anyway. To take it as it is and compare it with a painting means to see it with different eyes. :)

A really beautiful photo - promoted me to find out about Heligoland - what an amazing place and history - I've added it to the list of places I must visit sometime!
