This is the small Panasonic camera I recently bought that weighs almost nothing, has a x8 zoom and practically doesn't leave my pocket, except to take a photo of course. It's a ZX1 in Europe and I understand it's called ZR1 elsewhere. (I can't figure out why they can't have the same reference all over.)

I shoot with a compact camera, usually -- but at the same time I need a good optical zoom. My choice some years ago has been the Coolpix S4 -- love the swivel objective, it lets you shoot at any angle --, but now it begins to be somewhat obsolete and exhausted. I was wondering if the Lumix ZX1 could be a good replacement.
It doesn't replace the FZ38, especially for macros and zoom but it's really a great little camera, which has a wonderful stabilizer, something really important with a small camera for me. I tend to move a lot.
@drsara, my friend lilipop1000's last seventeen photos were taken with a ZX1 aka ZX3
they're all pretty much excellent.
