Building a 4$ solder free sensor bar
I don't have any electronics skills or any gear, so just the price of soldering equipment would make a home made sensor bar waay more expensive than necessary. So it built one using stuff I had at home - and 2 LEDs. It's not the manliest of electronics projects, but it works.

I think you're supposed to limit the current to the LEDs with a resistor, but this seems to work - and if I fry the LEDs they are 1$ a piece so I'm happy to experiment.
