Google has 90 Percent Market Share in Latin America
comScore data for the month of March 2011 shows that Google has 90 percent market share when it comes to search queries conducted in Latin America. 9 out of 10 searched conducted in Latin America are conducted on a Google-owned website. The Google market share is at 90 percent in Latin America while Facebook and Microsoft's sites are at about 2.8 percent. In the past year, search queries in Latin America surged up 21 percent to more than 18.5 billion queries in March 2011.
