I spent a wonderful hour or so up here at Red Tarn. Just me and some rock wrens. They were noisily chasing each other through the bushes. I was absorbing the magnificence of the surrounding peaks and the detailed beauty of the plants in the tarn. The cheeps of the wrens did not disturb the tranquilty of this area; the reward of less than an hour's climb from the busy-ness of the village.
