Driving back from Akaroa, passing from that harbour to the Little River valley, the clear blue sky disappeared behind rolls of cloud created by a north-east wind. In contrast to my balmy coffee 30 mins earlier, this was taken in a strong cold wind. A sprinkling of snow remains on the south side of the hills where the sun doesn't reach.
