KURUKSHETRA FLYING VISITWe started our Chandigarh trip with a short visit to Kurukshetra. Nal Sarovar is a place seven kms off the highway in the heart of the city. Its a HUGE man-made lake made into a square shape. The perimeter is covered with galleries with look like some Escher's paintings (see below).. The wind is cool and blowing us away. Dada and Abhishek waiting for the rest to go into the main area. Abhishek fixing the camera and getting ready to click.
The moment you enter in the gallery, you get hit by very strong winds. Thankfully the weight of my camera helped, otherwise I would've made a Splash entry into the Sarover :P
One can get some sense of the place. We entered from the right and the lake is on the left. To see what Dada is clicked, see the next photo
More poses on top of a 'pier'. If one falls off this and doesnt know swimming, fishes will wait for him 20 feet underwater. GULP :(
To my right one can see the main temple where devotees go for Darshan. Signage for women's area for taking the holy dip. With such proportions of a woman, any flower would droop and faint..
Some witches (women with brooms) were talking to Dadi (dunno why). Maybe they were telling about the place.
The looooonnnng unending corridors of Nal Sarovar.. this was something awesome and it HAS to be seen to believe. We were trying to give a depth perception by standing some distance apart. But we were too lazy to go to the end. It was really very far away.
We went back on the highway and continued our journey to Chandigah which took us another two hours.
