Early August and the heather and gorse should be at their vibrant best. But a fierce, rain-free few months in Spring and early Summer and the vegetation is somewhat tired!

Oh, for shame! Much to dry it is this year for sure. :o(
Still the sea with it's blue to green gradient makes for some fresh colours and interest.

The native plants are tough.... They'll survive. It's not the first, or last, drought they've seen to be sure.... And they do get some moisture being so close to the sea --- probably just enough to eek out a living in this windswept place....

Sonja, it´s been raining again these past few weeks so I'm sure they will already have recovered a bit!
