Patones de Arriba. A walk with Hiking Madrid in March 2015. This pleasant walk went from Patones de Abajo to Torrelaguna.

A hiking club? They are all so young, they look more like a school class on an outing.

This hiking club was established 12 years ago as a spin of from one of the English teaching academies. On every walk the dynamics are totally different. You do get a preponderance of English teachers but on some walks I have been the only one! Occasionally, such as on this walk, you get a load of interns from the US. They teach English for a while (two years max due to green card restrictions, etc), get free accommodation, are paid a pittance but all seem to enjoy it!
