Fizgig, Many thanks! I went out to get shots of wild tulips and/or poppies and couldn't find worthwhile specimens but found orchids and Spanish lavender instead!

Thank you Sonja. Yes. I had seen lots of far smaller ones and ones which were getting a little old but this one leapt out at me, so to speak!
