Ha ha! No, this is a typical farm wall of the area!!! Probably built with the paving stones from the road, which is now only visible in one or two places, but very clear from aerial photography, Ggoogle Earth, etc.

Hi Andy, I could have sworn I had actuly posted a comment here just a few hours ago! Anyway -this reminds me so much of the Yorkshire Dales, what with these soft hills and dry-stone wall but I don't imagine ours are made of granite, more like sand-stone/grit-stone even though in Yorkshire lime-stone abounds. Nice shot here my friend.

Andy, I would not daubt Herbs lost comment. It does happen every so often I loose a comment and only notice it later when comming across the pic in "conversations"again, whilst I could have sworn I made it through the Captcha game correctly. I guess it is a matter of missing the button when clicking the upload the second time, forgetting to do so at all, or some general system issue of clicking in the wrong second, anyway it is not so uncommon here to loose a comment. Guess Murphy is an active member too and brought his book of laws with him.... ;o)
