A peaceful and happy landscape shot, Andy. Gorse is hated on the Oregon coast: "George Bennett immigrated to Oregon in 1873 from his native Bandon, Ireland. He settled at the mouth of the Coquille River, planting gorse he had brought across the ocean." On certain tracts of land it's become nearly a monoculture and State Park staff is murdering it as fast as they can! ;-o

Thanks, Diane. I presume he wanted it as a cheap source of animal fodder and /or fuel. Gorse-fired stoves were common in Cornwall and probably Ireland too at one time.
