Bunuel made an important film about Las Hurdes, highlighting the extreme poverty of the area for much of the 20th century.

Wow, a nice riverbend! Looks like a bird magnet.

The Extremadura must be wonderful, provided it does not rain cats and dogs at obscenely low temperatures.... alas this is the only way I ever saw it. ;o(
