Looks bad. Hope whoever was riding it is OK.

I was, and I look like this the day after: http://www.23hq.com/andreas/photo/623695 I'm alright now though!

I can no read... how'd it happen? Car? Railroad track?

That requires a LOT of force.

Nice stitches btw!

I think I met you after this... I remember a scar above the right eye. Is it still there?

Decent commuter by the way. needs foldaway rear racks for utilitarian purpose like groceries and horshoe shapped riser bar for more relaxed commuting posture. Good internal rear hub... looks like it may be newer hub? 3spd or 8 spd?

Is mostly flat there no?

The scar over my eye is almost invisible now. I still have a large mark on my right arm where I took the bulk of the force of falling.

We met at Vloggercon 2 months after my crash. :o)

My crash was pretty dumb. In the middle of the night I drove over a highway overpass and picked up a lot of speed on the way down, crosses in over a parking lot and hit a curb straight on (one of those "islands" with flowers and lamp posts - the light wasn't turned on). I went over the handlebars and the front tire literally exploded from the impact.

It's a 3-speed and it was a really cheap bike. I talked with my bike guy and he said it would cost more to repair than what I had paid for the bike initially. So I scrapped it after the crash and bought a new bike. :o)

Damn dude. That's a story!

Unbelieveable.

The phantom traffic islands are the killer. I try to avoid parking lots altogether myself. If it's not the traffic island there's always a random baricade thrown in just for fun.

I just found myself a massive pot hole the night before last, totally f'd up my rear rim on my favorite cruiser. Not sure I'm going to be able to true it this time. Nasty pothole.

I've had some good stories. Dislocated a finger... broke another one... had some spectacular wrecks, been biking non-stop since I was a little kid, but you're story takes the cake.
