New toy: A Beseler Topcon Unirex from somewhere between 1969 and 1973. The lens is a very useful 50mm/f2.
The mercury batteries it uses were outlawed in the 1980s and I had to jam a hearing aid battery into the camera. I've shot a test roll and the exposure meter seems to work fine with the new battery. It shoots either fully manual or shutter priority (all manual focus of course). |

The camera even has spot metering!
I have an old Yashica I got from my dad. I learned how to operate an SLR using that. And it was great. The pictures come out amazing. And there's just something about going fully manual.
