My laptop drive crashed last month. I sent it in to a data recovery firm, but there was nothing that could be done. I asked them to dispose safely of the dead drive since it contained confidential data. They sent me this as proof that they had destroyed the drive for me.

If your drive ever dies on you I can strongly recommend QuattroDataRecovery and www.diskhelp.dk - their communication skills are above and beyond anything else I've ever experienced.

Wow. Great stuff for me, as a HD just died on me. Did you have to pay them anything for the attempt?
Andreas Haugstrup Pedersen September 26, 2007, 07:07 PM
I'm still a student and because of their insane student discounts I did not have to pay them anything for the attempt. If you are not a student then you do have to pay something for the attempt.
