A Trip To ColvinIt was one of the first warm days this spring. I set off from the AMC parking lot early Monday, the 10th of April. By the time I reached the fork in the trail to Nippletop, and Colvin and Blake, there was 2 to 3 feet of snow! 
I needed crampons for the rest of the trip, as much of the trail was icy. Up to Colvin, had a pbj sandwich, and then made the trip almost all the way down the back side of Covin, to the trail back up to Blake. I reached the summit of Blake, but didn't have much to see, as the view is quite limited. Here we go again, for the ride down and up, and finally, back to Colvin. What a beautiful day. 3 feet of snow, and a 60 degree breeze! Another one bites the dust.
The trip started all the way back there, near Giant.
