There Is A Difference Between"Black Culture" And "Black Culture"
Black culture, sans quotes, is the of the cultural contributions made to mainstream culture by the subculture of blacks. It's a fluid and a multifaceted, often contradictory thing.
However "Black Culture" is a lifestyle standard that is based on assumptions about the identity of black people, often used successfully by studio heads, marketing professionals fashion labels, and music labels to earn money.
It might be the "cool factor" that causes kids to line up for hours just to spend their last dime on brand new Michael Jordan sneakers. Or the thing that makes white people think I'm "brotha" and blast 2 Chainz when I hop in the car.
It's what people assume about black people , and how they should act and behave.
Black culture might have been born in black communities, or created by black Americans. When it's used to promote commerce, there is a danger of mistakenly interpreting "Black Culture" for actual cultural EXPERIENCE. This is where the mythology begins and it can diminish the value of real human experiences. https://thenarrativematters.com/
