Very noisy shot -- any idea on how to reduce noise on a point and shoot camera?

Caro, prova

Be sure not to overuse it, though, unless you like the resulting plastic look =)

I actually like the noise. Is it so wrong?

noise can be good.

but here is the best way do reduce noise on a point and shot camera:

1] reduce ISO. find the ISO setting on your camera and pick a low setting.

2] steady your camera using a tripod, resting the camera against the ground or an object. reducing the ISO will increase the exposure length. increasing the exposure length will incur camera shake blur. so steadying the camera becomes imperative.

@Paulo Brabo: will try, thank you.
@nellyb: I don't think it's wrong *per se* -- but I'd like to have sharp photos even in bad lighting conditions -- at least from time to time.
@striatic: thanks for the tip -- will try soon.
