Things are going 'grate' in the Dollie Dungeon

In a weird way, she would just make a great permanent decoration in the Dungeon. "What's that?" "Oh, just our full size torture doll. Anger management, y'know."

Yes, that she would.

However, while I am not totally uncomfortable leaving the obviously toy-like Monster High Rochelle chained up... mostly out of laziness... these TBLeague/Phicen figures are a bit too realistic for my comfort zone, crossing the line in to "fetish" figures rather than simply being "toys" or "dolls."

Should someone whom I do not know or with whom I am not well acquainted discover my Monster High dioramas, the response would likely be an uncomfortable, "oh, you collect... dolls? How... eccentric."

But should someone encounter a display of this nature with the TBLeague/Phicen figure, they'd probably call the police.

You are correct, she would make a marvelous model for a gothic display of some sort. I wish I felt less uncomfortable about keeping her.

Yeah, I can fully understand that. There is something... I don't want to say creepy, but I'm trying and failing to think of anything better ... about the seamless figures that I can't quite explain in any proper words. I think it's - as you said - they do toe/cross the line into 'fetish' figures rather than just a doll.

As I believe I mentioned on the forum, this figure is very prone to staining. I guess I don't "work clean" when I'm shooting photos, because she ended up with black streaks on her within seconds... quite literally seconds... of being removed from her packaging, despite my attempt to be careful. I have not had this significant of a "dirt" issue with any other dolls, not even the Smart Dolls.

Oh well, as of today this little girl is on her way to a new home, to one of the people on the Figurvore forum who actually makes cute little shoes and dresses for these 1:12 Phicen figures. So not only will she have a new home where she is less likely to get all dirty and grungy, she may actually get some clothes!

Aw, that'll be nice for her!

See, the whole staining thing feels a bit odd. I accept that all dolls will stain sooner or later - especially vinyl - but the Phicen ones just seem to be a magnet for it.

(Actually now wondering how they would work as a sewing subject...)
