This is the cloister in the cathedral of Le Puy. It is considered the most perfectly preserved Romanesque cloister in France.

Thanks, Jotty and Thilo! This is one of my fish-eye images that I've later used software on to correct the perspective, and that has exaggerated the lines a bit, giving a sense of the cloister receding dramatically into the distance.
