Yes, it's kind of a sad story. The funky digital lightwalls made by John Maeda was suppose to be a living, morphing and participatory part, of the building has been turned into a stupid messageboard on certain big occasions. Typically conferences and such.

The reason for this decission remains a bit unclear, but the word on the street is that it was nextdoor neighbours that complained that the building was flickering with light and text, which what was cool about it. Now how danish is that!
