Why can't you choose every product  you like in every color you want?

...and why are these two each 50% more at Søtorvet than in Flensburg? I talked to the sales clerk in this store, who admitted it's less expensive catching a cab to Germany.

Answer? Manufacturers, stupidity and engineering.

Soon we'll be able to choose the colors - and in a couple more years we can choose the shapes. Thank you engineers.

If we want to. Most people in this kindergardencountry are too stupid to choose anything by themself.

You can't blame the manufacturers and the engineers for the fact that you can't order your refrigerator in a custom colour. This has to do with the inherent nature of the markets. Fact is that manufacturers try to juggle R&D, sourcing, assembly and distribution in a costcutting manner.

Demand is customized products. Vehicles, shoes, furniture.

The manufacturers should make proper use of the engineers and just let them create changeable covers or optimize the production line to allow personal ordering.

Productline optimization is the opposite of allowing personal ordering. Fact is, custom orders are available in most places in which offering it is worth while. One thing I can tell you is that in the refrigirator business, it is not.

Besides, demand for customization is still second to price in the broad consumer markets.

Why don`t you customize your own products?

I think it will look much cooler, then PHILIPS or SMEG?

Besides I think it`s time for us consumers to think more about colour polution, because thats really nasty!!!!!!!!!

I customize my stuff... Sometimes I lack tools, though.
