Right in front of the blind by the new beach. I had to lighten midtones drastically as the bird was partially backlit in the fog / Direkt vor dem Sichtschutz beim neuen Strandbad. Ich musste die mitteltoene stark korrigieren weil der Vogel mit etwas Licht im Ruecken im Nebel herumhockte

I was amazed the shot retained so much of the colours at all, with all that sidelit fog behind the bird. But it s still nor really that good. In the right light they look like Navajo jewelry, all turquise and jaspis.... extraordinary for an european bird, but so hard to get a close up.
