Railway Replacement Bridge / Ersatzeisenbahnbruecke

The previous one, built 1898-99 actually was listed, but it still had to go for it hindered elekrification. The new bridge is higher but rather similar in form and original paint colour. It has however no bolts. And Bolts are so important for early industrial charme.

Could almost be called a replica of the old bridge...

From this side. Frontallt thold one was intricate patterned, the new is more like double T irons. And it got no bolts, all slick and bland. It was made somewhere in one piece and then lifted into place in one day, not assembled bar-by-bar by welding muscle men in situ. Then again, Little Golden Gate is the star, the only bridge regular tourists note beside the wooden ones and such with spectacular views, nobody but a few ingeneering enthusiasts ever cared for the rust bucket of a railway bridge.
