Should make a nice treat for the bigger birds that manage to catch 'em. Escaped Koi aren't very good at predator evasion 'cause it's been bred out of them.

Nice catch...

We dont have osprey outside very rare sightings in migration time, and also no other eagles and I am not sure if a Kite would be able to lift one of those two as they are each longer than my lower arm ellbow to fingers -- and that's sans the tail. Herons and Cormorants do not do fish that weigh at least the same as themselves or more. Guess they did grow over some hobby pond owners capacity and they got dumped illegally. The city or the natue organisation cant be possibly that dimwitted to set intentionally fish like this into a body of water smaler than my livingroom, dug out with the intention to promote rare amphibians. Anyway, in case the pond falls fully dry again this summer they should be easy to catch and remove or they will die sinply from the lack of the water.
