Yes, the roof tip is hadly to interpret as standing upright in the lanscape rather than extend from the foundations as a prow for some cause. Perspectivic a mystery. Yet it is a mostly vertical poiny wall, a former barn, shelter or remise of sorts, or the cottage of some employee, although for the lack of a chimney I daubt the last one. It was in a section within the fieldstone fences but a good distance to the house. The booklet by the wildlife trust does not discuss this structure, but the area near to it is what I believe to be identified as "shearing hays" in the map. Perhaps really something for use by a sheppard?
