Ragged Robin / Kuckuckslichtnelke / Silene flos-cuculi

Well, tat's fine in a wet meadow meadow -- but on November 11th? Nature herself sent us into the carneval... / Nun, das ist okay in der Sumpfwiese , aber am 11.11. ? So schickte uns die Natur in den Fasching.

We are of course used to simple wild daisies that are blooming after christmas and when there is a closed snow blanket get out with buds and bloom the next bright day again, and rosebreeds that bloom late but stay in bloom until the first serious winter storm. Also crazy rosacae trees that when their blossoming was cut short by a spring snowstorm show a few blossoms in autumn amongs the old leafs.
But a Ragged Robbin of the straw meadow society is something that blooms only when the Dactylorchis and the Iris bloom as well, starting late May and packing it up for the year in early July the latest. I never met something from the pink family blooming in the wild in late autumn here -- only the last summer the water level started to go down very early. Lots of flowers dried up before being all ripe to seed.
