Other than that, I have to admit I never got there, rather pay a bit more at the public sauna at Meersburg. If I actually wish to recline somewhere inbetween swims I am not very fond of the amount of mass tourism on our regular serviced lake beaches with lots of free parking, the noise level is just overpowering.
With the bugs I can live however. There is a thing like Autan after all. To swim with the birds in the brown water I even go out of my way at times, but not there, no convenient and sheltered deep water access and to crowded. Fussach is the place of choice for that.
Anyway, only some wade or swim in Lake Constance there, it's a good major public fee beach with lots of facilities high above the waterline. Down where you are allowed to walk for free in off-season is just shoreline to bring the own recliner or towel to lounge on and a rustic adventure playground, facilities above are in winter locked away through an extra fence. In summer when you pay they got a huge sport pool, heated water playground with slide and spouting features for the babies, state of the art toilet and shower houses, lockers and changing rooms, a fast food and ice kiosk, all with a lake view, lawn and pebble beach in between. Masses of vacationers and locals go there for a tan and comparably cheap and safe family entertainment. The beach behind the fence is birds only. There are humans who break the law, to bathe with their dog or have privacy in the wilderness for what ever reasons, but generally you are not supposed to go to the part of shoreline south-east of the official beach, only directly above the enclosed area is the little picnic area with the new blind.
Thats what it looks like in the map:
