LOL, fortunately regular bulrushes (Typha). We gt a serious problem with bamboo tending to survive in the wild, but nature organisations are usually very quick to remove at set aside wildlife ponds.

The cute tiny snipes seem an only recently more common species. I had never seen any in the area before but '18 we got several glimpses at major regular haunts. To me this was a bird to find on vacations from time to time, one living at places like Lake Neusiedl, in the Camargue, the Po Delta or Arcachon Bay but not within an half-hour drive from home... so I am very exited about this encounters.
