LOL -- a lot of religious sculptures and paintings are creepy. Her painted eyes remind me of the stones with eyes they put on the eyes of dead people at Game of Thrones, otherwise she is like a very normal soft figurine for traditional garb creches. Karl could have looked more solemn and take the cap in his hands, but then this was not exactly the plan that he is depicted as clearly as Mary.
