Glas windows Windows like this are nothing very special, neo-gothic lead glas panes for filling real gothic mason work with only a little colour and no scenes, just floral border paterns around a milky center with a grid. There are many like this.
The old comic-like painting in the dark church just got no better colours in reality. It faded in the little daylight, then it spent centuries hidden by other wall decorations, below paint or wood paneling. At least it got not punctuated for support of new plaster, so it counts as very well preserved in spite of the state it is in. I wonder if being revealed again with the bigger windows now wont make it faint worse, but I am no restaurator and do not know about the ingrediances of those pre-bayer paints... guess minerals will hold out, plant saps will go.
