While small, I think the massive structure it's part of makes it look even smaller than it is.... Nice capture!

I guess it was added to the wall only after city walls where more a cute historic attraction than serious deffense, for a convenience to get in from new parts of the town on foot or bicycle without a major detour. There is a medival saint anchored in a niche above, as far as I know a replique of a really valuable late gothic one in a chapel.
