The manmade stairs at the start of the still natural looking but a bit leveled gorge are from 1784. No idea how they did that back then, but they wanted to use the water energy so they found a way and billed it as building a waterfall which makes the gorge also more pretty. Not sure if it is really all that pretty, all the concrete down there.
