Quite stylish, arn't they? :o) An easter gift by sis' in law, but looking even better with the autumn colour scheme.....

They are down in a veggie plot in summer as anchor for the sugarsnaps' climbing poles, holding the raffia connecting them down and spaced at the left and right and in winter they normally hold the kitchengreens pot pinned to a sheltered corner below the bathroom window and pretty it up.

Really useful, except... last week I put the whole setup indoors for a day, because of storm Friederike, and discovered the lazy birds do not prevent woodlice from wintering in the pot. :o(

I just hope none decided to switch pots and found the assorted windowsil plants to breed in. I love all critters, but nature intended for the woodlouse to be an outside animal..... as long as it is just lost on the hard flooring or walls I get it with the spidercatcher and show it where the architect put the hole to escape.
