On Lake Constance use of fast and powerful motors is mostly outlawed, extemptions only for the official ferry businesses, toll and police boats of the 3 nations, DLRG and similar, so people just relaxing on little outboarders, row boats, pedalos and even air matresses in the areas between the faster yacht routes and the natural no-go posted zones is fairly normal, there is no dangerous jet-ski playing in the bays. I am rather happy with this and hope it stays this way.

On the water it is cooler and there are less insects as there are on the public beaches and nature bath lawns, and there sure is more space to the neighbour, but not everybody wants to bet grilled like a rotisserie chicken just because they float around somewhere leisurly...
