So pretty! I've never seen a wild one that has the color pattern of hybrids.... Very cool =) Nice find.

I guess the oldfahioned hybrids took their colours from not only crossing imports but also from special collecting of the most awesome aberations. And I also fear that a meadow one kilometre from a settlement with yards full of cultivated spring flowers from the garden market might see some influence from bees that had been to town at their previous pollen trip.... anyway, I walked a few metres from the skilift station down Via Claudia to a barn and back and spotted on way lots and lots of white crocus, but only very few purple ones. This was the only one I could reach well with my lens without stepping off the paved road shoulder into the soil.
