A beautiful picture of a great river.

I think it is interesting all layers of water seemed to have almost the same colour that day. Usually the Rhine comming all way from Swizzerland mostly differs to the Bay of Hard with the the smaler lake tributaries in colour. Long manmade embankments drive the this artificial river bed very deep into the lake and away from Bregenz in a courve as to hinder it to fill the harbours with all the gravel it carries. Usually it is a lot more teal with it's glacier meal, as the Dornbirner Ache brook filling the space behind the wall in comparison carries much more brownish soil after rain or is rather clear and bringing very little current in nice weather. In satelite maps it is more striking with the difference than in pictures, but usually it is also evident in any shot.
