Love the shadows and light effect. Beautiful valley and I would guess that spring is on the way. Thanks for posting.

February 11 at an elevation of aproximately 800m above sealevel.... well, there was certainly some thawing going on, but it sure was not the last of winter it saw. Walking was especially difficult as it had thawed and frozen again making everything glazed and slick, this is why we went up a little road rather than attempting to see the gorge.

Wonderful view!! Nice to see this area less affected by the global climate change seeming to screw with the weather everywhere.... We have April temps. now, but back in April we were seeing late May-early June temps. & it was looking like summer would be coming far too early and far too warm..... Very strange! At my vacation home in PA, two weeks ago temps. were in the mid-80's and last night it snowed {=•/

Oh, we had enough crazy weather this winter, starting with that indian summer calling for short sleves in november, and then a rainy gray advent and christmas time. Only late in january, as the family winter vacations where already over, snow came down to the foothill resorts, but by the last week of the carneval when people get prolonged weekends again it was all back to just rain with storms, both spoiling the parades and the winter sport enthusiasm. The tourist business was distinctly unamused. After that a dry and very warm beautiful spring started, only to end again for a new spell of freezing temberatures just when the apples where in full bloom. Only little snow again, but icerain ruining the fruit havest and causing mass carambolages.... So we had enough share in the global fun here I think.
