And that's where they went for a vacation in the south!! We got not many Pintails on Lake Constance, and only as winter guests. For some reason they dislike to come over to the german shore, always sit between the old and new Rhine in austrian waters, although the rivers not coming in from the Alps have the warmer and more nutritious water, probaply to much city bustle around the Rotach mouth for them. They are so shy compared to those on your continent.
