Hello Sonja. A very pleasant capture of this quick very colourful bird here. On the few occasions I have seen them, they are never still for long.

This one really was a darling, posing so well just below me in a spot where the river almost intrudes to the trail so there is a handrail and just a shrub below. Before that I never got lucky enough one stayed in one unobstucted nearby place for my camera for a minute.
